Biographical Databases

There are a myriad names in the news each day and the Carbon Capture Report's unique Biographical Databases help you keep on top of which people and organizations are shaping the discussion on climate change:

Complete News Biography. View a complete biographical entry on the person's coverage in the news:
  • Total Popularity Rank
  • Number of Appearances
  • Total Days in the News
  • Total Related Names
  • First Date Seen
  • Last Date Seen
  • Complete List of Related Names
  • Complete List of Articles

Person Database. Every name mentioned in each article is automatically extracted and available at your fingertips. You can view the profile for a person of interest, or just browse to see what names appear in the news.

Organization Database. Captures organizations ranging from Fortune 50 enterprises to small businesses and international NGOs to small local activist groups.

Sorting. Four different sorting options are available to let you drill down to the names that matter the most to you:
  • Popularity. See the names that show up in the news time and time again. These are the most visible icons of the climate change discourse.
  • Newest. Be the first to spot the emerging names in climate change.
  • Staying Power. Its not always the number of articles that counts, sometimes those with "staying power" are more important to look at. A person who appeared in a single article that went viral and was reported in 300 news outlets might rank very high in the Popularity list, but someone who consistently appears once a week, every week, in a handful of articles, will rank higher in this list, letting you spot the longest-running names.
  • Social Circle. Some names are "center points" to the discussion, always appearing with a large number of collaborators, while others tend to be mentioned by themselves or with just a few other colleagues. This list lets you see which people have the largest "social circle" in the news.
